As you know, The Anime Network splits its programing into 4 blocks, Comedy, action, Sci-fi and Martial Arts.

Their current "cover" title for the Martial Arts block is Boogiepop Phantom. I know that Boogiepop is a bit hard to classify, but it would be much mroe suited as Sci-Fi or Action, no?

And what the hell is the difference between martial arts & action. Martial arts is just a sub-genre of action, no? They should have come up with a 4th block or jut stuck with 3.

Also under Martial Arts are Kimera and Blue Seed. Seems that anything dealing with the supernatural is considered martial arts.

My only comment is: ADV

They have a lot of money, but cmon do you ever really read NewType? Half the time the articles sound like it was written by somebody simply looking off the 'blurb' on the back of the dvd.

No further comment.

... I think the percentage of "martial arts" in the boogiepop series would be... 5% of the show at the most...

Well, there was that fight scene, in episode 8, in the alley/underground parking lot. I think there was some martial artsy type stuff there...oh nevermind Confused . Smells like someone couldn't obtain a real martial arts show and decided to cram BP in to fill a slot.

Not even that much. As crappy as Tekken is, it would still fit better as a showcase title. Better yet, why didn't they use Samurai X?
