Nico took a little getting used to at first, but the first 35 chapters or so were solid. Shame they had to go through a bunch of timeskips near the end to finish it, I would've liked it to come to its conclusion at its own pace.

I totally agree. It’s been awhile since I read this online, but I remember it being well done with likable MC’s and excellent art. Yet, when I think back, like tywhoppity says, the timeskip makes you feel like you’re missing something and comes across unnaturally. I don’t know what the reason was, i.e. pressure to wrap it up, thought the story had nothing else to say, mangaka was bored…who knows, but it doesn’t take away how good this was and maybe the anime will have a more satisfying flow if they animate it to a conclusion. |

I think every series has its own strengths and weaknesses, and it's always worth giving it a fair chance before forming a final opinion. Reading different perspectives here has been really insightful.
