Their profiles were added to the official site after the episode aired. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the first major changes we see is the anime making their roles bigger.

I just had to look that up after you said that!
Aaaannnnnddd.......
Nope. But he does play Nawaki (Tsunade's little brother) in Naruto, so I guess that counts for something.

She DOES voice Azuma Kazuma (Yakitate) though whom I find to be pretty annoying as well ^^

Agreed. Nothing has been spoiled for me as of yet, and I *like* spoilers.
Recently watched episode two and now I'm already in love with both duos that have been introduced. I didn't think that Black Star's voice was annoying at all. In the first episode's preview it sounded unfitting, but once I saw the episode, I felt it matched perfectly. And add me as a Mifune + Angela fan. (Angela is so adorable!) I really hope the both of them get larger roles.
Now I look forward to Death the Kid.

Just watched Episode 2. I think Black Star is a bit of a bratty character, but he is pretty funny.
Death the Kidd is going to be really good, too. I already love his OCD-complex!

For some reason Black Star reminds me Naruto (before the time skip). I can't wait to see the next episode.

So far,I dig the over-exaggerated,convex angles that bones is using for this series. It's quite the art piece.I hope they can keep it fresh enough for 50 eps.I also like the OP,it's catchy(I was humming theme when I was shopping for groceries).I've read what others said about Maka's voice being annoying.Screw that,I like it.It's a dry, monotone read that moves away from the overly cutesy reads of say,Blair...nyan.Soul is a decent idea.I like the idea of a partner being a transformable scythe. It will be wacky in the future for sure.I'm getting tired of the shinigami trend though. I like how Bones is using a mix of flat and gradient colors in Soul eater,it makes the color easier on the eyes.
Episode one The battle with Jack the ripper was well drawn. The action was real smooth, giving you the feeling Maka knows what she is doing. Then they drop the "99 souls, only one left to go"crap, but It's all good,I forgive it.Reporting back to Shibusa is going to be a lot of fun,Shinigami-sama and Maka's dad are hella funny.Soul's "no tits" line is a bit harsh. The comedy really takes off when they introduce Blair.Yeah,it's fanservice, but it's goofy as hell.I find Blair more annoying than Maka. Then they bomb the audience with Blair being a "Neko with powers" and not a Witch. they almost had it.The episode ends when they introduce Black Star,an assassin, weilding a dual kusari-gama named Tsubaki,as he's aproaching his target (lol) Al Capone.Looking good. The ED got some nice shonen flair to it.
Episode two.Damn,I like the hellish ball of paper cutouts in the intro. It reminds me of the boss "Legion" from Castlevania:Symphony of the Night.(A take off Granfaloon from the novel Cat's Cradle). It's sexy and horrifying at the same time.Black Star turns out to be a goofy kid with a hottie weapon Heh, I kind of figured he wasn't a badass from his tone up in the loft.It also turns out they haven't gotten a single Kishin Egg either.Tsubaki-chan's smoke bomb face was ****ing adorable,I love that shit.Later we meet the Katana wielding,Mifune (It keeps getting better for shonen fans)He's the guardian to the Witch "Angelia". lolz at the"I'm was scared by my own greatness,so I can't stand in front of mirrors"line.Black Star's got a big ego,and his weapon Tsubaki,is turning into all sorts of stuff,kusari-gamas,a smoke bomb,a windmill shruiken then a wakizashi.I'm liking her more and more. The witch Angelia turns out to be a Witch Kid! Ergg...nevermind,moving on.At least they got to keep all those Kishin eggs. lol at Black Star getting a peek at Tsubaki-chan at the end...again! The fade out shows a new character named Death the Kid,chasing a thief named Lupin. It mentioned he was the son of Shinigami-sama.Well,his female guns are pretty cool at least. It's great shonen cheese, and can't wait for more.

I enjoyed the first two episodes quite a bit. So far my only complaint is with the male leads. Soul, although entertaining to watch, seems a bit one dimensional to me. As far as black star... so far I like him the least out of all of them. The whole ego, yelling, and the "big" thing got real old real fast. Hopefully I am more impressed with death the kid. As far as the rest of the show goes, I have nothing but good things to say about it. The art style is fresh and new. I like the fact that the souls they hunt are based on known people or fiction such as Jack the ripper, Capone, and Lupin. If this keeps up there are all kinds of possiblities. It also seems to be much faster paced than most other shounen shows, and thats a good thing. I have high hopes for this one.

What a strange anime. I've never seen anything like it. I love the bizarre Tim Burton style set. I liked the first team. Not so crazy about the second, although I did like their main battle quite a bit. Third team looks... interesting. I'm on the fence about whether I like it or not. It's a bit slapsticky for my taste, but it's still sort of intriguing.
And like everyone else, I love the sun and the moon!

Kidd is awesome, y'all bout to witness.
Episode 3.
Miyano Mamoru was perfect for Kidd, his past work as Tamaki from Ouran (same director as this show) shows with this role. Quickly mixing from serious to comedic, I couldn't think of anyone else who could do Kidd better. Watanabe Akeno was great as Liz and Patty's VA suited her as well.
The symmetrical thing was great fun and it was nice too see the extra stuff with the two previous teams interacting, Sid as well got some screen time. The score for this episode was pretty damn good, Taku Iwasaki is in top form.

I only watch anime for manga that I read, so this is the first time I've had prolonged exposure to Miyano Mamoru. That being said, I'm happy with his portrayal of Kid.
I liked his deliver on the "right, left, right left, right" lines

Just watched the first two episodes. I really liked the first but wasn't as entertained by the second. Man, I was really looking forward to an ultra stylized fight sequence once every episode and this has failed me. I'll probably continue to watch though, the series is visually entertaining, hopefully production quality will go up in episodes 3.
One question: Is Tsubaki named after the sword of the same name in "No More Heroes" or does Tsubaki mean something in Japanese? Or is she named after someone or something else?

Soul Eater predates No More Heroes by many years.
