Hey, do anyone knows that ADV Films and Geneon Entertainment (USA), Inc. Staff Members got fired since January 28, 2008 because ADV and Geneon's websites were being removed?

Are you asking if this is true or stating that it is?

Anyway yes, Geneon USA shut down at the end of 07 after their distribution deal fell through and will not be resuming any activities as far as anyone can tell at this point. Their titles are currently in limbo. Some of them may be picked up by someone else however nothing is confirmed at this point. Funimation announced that they were looking into it a few months ago but nothing else has come of it since.

At the risk of sounding cliche though, I will say: Rumors of ADVs demise have been greatly exaggerated. Many people are concerned about ADV because of numerous recent incidents such as a bunch of titles being temporarily removed from their site, etc. However they still appear to be distributing titles. The official word is that they are still alive and well. (Although the "well" part is up for debate. In fact there is a whole topic about it in the anime section of ANN's forums.)

Although GENEON is long gone. I guess most of it's titles went to FUNimation. And in regards to ADV currently in hiatus, to me, it is safe to say that ADV is in good hands. ADV sold most of it's ongoing production titles to FUNimation inc. the ones from GENEON. I bet that if you give ADV a couple of years or so they will rise back up again to dominate the ANIME world. I have faith in ADV comming back and besides, most of my ANIME collections are from ADV. Laughing

Friend, you're really out of the loop (ADV is now, essentially, Section 23 and Sentai Filmworks) and this is necroposting anyway.
