I guess whenever people stop asking him to design characters for movies like The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Summer Wars. I am stuck on volume 11 of the manga. We have a ways to go before we are anywhere near the end. I am surprised to see how they can still keep Evangelion going after all these years with multiple spin-off manga series. All they need to do is slap on the "Evangelion" name on just about anything and it is as good as printing money. |

Personally, I want a new Evangelion manga set in another alternate universe where they all form some kind of club after school in a vacated clubroom, but they're one member short of the number required for the club to be officially recognized by the school.
There's not nearly enough manga like that these days. |

umm, there have been 8 more chapters since volume 11 (stages 77-84). i'm thinking it's pretty close to the end too since stage 83 ends with the scene from end of evangelion where misato stuffs shinji into the elevator. |

Then SEELE sends their children to the same school, and they join the student council, and antagonize Shinji, Rei, Asuka, and the other club members. Yeah, it'd be great!

I did not know that Sadamoto is still working on the manga. It has been a long time since a tankōbon has been released. After you posted your reply, I looked around and found out that the next compiled volume will be the last. I guess Sadamoto is possibly planning on incorporating spoiler[The End of Evangelion] as by the scene you described. Thanks for letting me know about the additional chapters. Otherwise, I would not have thought of looking up the status of the Evangelion manga. |
