Does anyone import manga? Sasuga is gone (nooo!) and YesAsia's selection is spotty at best. I live near 2 different Kinokuniya bookstores and their website isn't so friendly, so I'm not too keen on using them online (especially when I can just drive there). BookOff is a Russian roulette. Sometimes they have great stuff, sometime not.
Is there any other manga import site/store (I live in Southern California) that I don't know about (and doesn't cost an arm & a leg)? |

It's kind of a specialty site that focuses on doujinshi, but I've ordered whole series of manga from JpQueen before with no problem. Most of their stuff is used, but they get new items in as well. Artbooks as well, so it's an awesome place to visit if you're looking for a particular something and don't really care if it's 2nd hand. Prices are pretty good (rare stuff or popular stuff they'll sometimes jack the price up), and they even have a system that notifies you when they get something back in stock. Seems they have people who go out and visit stores to look for it if they don't have it.
If JpQueen doesn't get it, YesAsia fails me, or I don't want to bother with yahoo!auctions in Japan, I just order off of Amazon.co.jp. They have an English option, and ship internationally. |

Thanks! I heard that jpqueen had closed, so I never bothered to check them out. I will now!
As for Amazon.co.jp, I've ordered through them a couple times, but the international shipping just kills me! It's about $30 a book! ;___; |

...only if you order one book!
It's 2700 yen per order, plus 300 yen per item. The trick is to order lots of books at one time, to spread around the flat cost of shipping. See here. I know all this because yesterday I was looking up how much it would cost to buy all of Tokyo Crazy Paradise.
