When Tina ultimately delivers her own inevitable profanity-laced psychotic meltdown (probably at Shiro), I wonder -- will she use her stuffed toy to do so?

I personally can't wait to see how Lily comes up with an image of her and Tamaki switching Dom positions. Currently Lily is being frozen at the feet of Tamaki while on a leash, so I'm wondering if the reversal with have flames or her just cracking through and busting out of the ice. In any case it ought to be funny.

That would be absolutely hilarious and awesome! I hope it happens soon!

Tina going into a profanity filled rant? Seeing how we can't have a group of four leaders... and how it's more about "finding out who you are"... and filling in the band roles through the instrument... and going by the character image we have...
What I see is Prince Tina becoming Queen Tina. I see her asserting herself but I don't think it's going to be dominance through anger towards others. Come on, Tina, time to bust out...
If there's going to be a profanity filed rant, I want it from Lilisa to Shiro for chilling the music with her bass playing. You want lead guitar, you got to lead with the guitar and the last thing you need is the bass player pouring cold water over the performance.
The key to solving the toxicity is for Guitarist A to put Guitarist B in her place of bass and for the keyboardist to find out where she is in the pecking order

Plot twist for next week: Lilisa kicks Shiro out instead?
It might be what it takes to put Shiro in her place and get her to be more collaborative/submissive.

I don't know why exactly, but I keep waiting for the breakthrough in Tina's keyboard playing to involve removing her breast bindings.

^ I think you're right. It would be similar to how the hero/ine's hair-tie breaks at the moment when their inner manslayer is unleashed (see e.g. Kenshin v Saito). In fact, I've been waiting for just such a scene with Lilisa's tails, as that should be epic. So it's not unlikely that Tina's inner rage will explode her binders and release the breasts.

Haha, Otoha really is such a manipulative (and horny) mastermind. She had Shiro set up for that reversal right from the start. The mean-girl persona stood no chance at all.
Huge boobs as a sort of Clark Kent glasses disguise is a galaxy-brain idea too.

So is Lilisa's father dead or what? Were we ever told what became of him?
Is it possible that the guitarist in the band that captured Shiro's attention as a munchkin was Lilisa's father? I don't think we've ever gotten a clear look at him, and his hair is much shorter (and a little darker?) than the guy in the video, but I just find it odd that we get a very clear shot of that guy's face when we never do of her father. For reasons I've never understood, anime rarely show people's faces in pictures or flashbacks unless there's a good reason or the timing is right to show them. Always a shadow or glare partially obscuring them.

I don't think we've been told explicitly what became of her dad. My assumption for the most part was that he died, but these last couple of weeks seeing the mom's extreme animosity to the electric guitar makes me think he abandoned them instead

My theory is that he died and left them with a ton of debts, or something like that. Would dovetail nicely with the class angle this show also has. And considering how the show has written its characters so far, I don't think it would dabble in simple "villains". They're both hurt and haven't been good at communicating that to each others.

Personally, I think it was divorce. I saw the type of papers used for serving on the table in one of the briefer flashbacks in episode 1, and that's all the tell I needed, well before Yuka showed her unlikable side in full force.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was abandonment that led to divorce. I know that the manga's still murky regarding the details as well, so no concrete answers there.

I was hoping the show would acknowledge the fact that Lilisa's argument as to why Tina should un-bind for the show - that she should do it to avoid being recognized - was probably just projection. Did Tina ever *say* she was worried about her identity getting out, or did Lilisa just assume she felt that way? Tina might not actually be so concerned. After all, Otoha is presumably also from a rich family and doesn't seem to be worried about the impacts of playing rock music in public at all. But it seems like the show wants us to take what Lilisa is saying at face value because it wants an excuse to show off Tina's boobs. Which normally I wouldn't mind, but Tina seems really uncomfortable with it, so it makes me feel uncomfortable too.

I'm going to disagree with this. That scene actually serves a narrative purpose to reinforcing Lilisa's assertion that Tina unleashing her boobs is the perfect disguise by demonstrating that with those on display, no one is going to be looking at her face. TBH, I think it's very on-theme for the show.
One thing that stuck with me is that the whole showdown with Bitter Ganache happened right in front of their new guitarist. Where is her motivation to actually play well when Bitter Ganache has made it very clear that if they win, she will be kicked to the curb in favour of Shiro?
