I know some of the studio ghibli movies are coming out this fall:
My Neighbor Totoro (true version, not fox) Valley of the Wind Pom Poko Porco Rosso Any other? The Ghibli film released so far: Princess Mononoke Studio Ghibli Kiki's Delivery Service Grave of the Fireflies Castle in the Sky Any others? I'm pretty sure Porco Rosso hasn't come out yet. And My Neighbor Totoro has, but it wasn't a very good release, and Disney is rereleasing it.
Also, Howl's Moving Castle is probably going to get a theatrical release in the US. And if you count GITS2: Innocence(Ghibli credited with Co-Production) than that is coming out next month in theatres. |

From what I've read, the next three out will be Nausicaa, Porco Rosso and the Disney release of Totoro. At last reading, the release date has sadly been pushed back until further notice (perhaps to coincide with the theatre release of Howl's Moving Castle and/or the holiday gift-buying season). They were originally supposed to be released at the end of this month.
I'm personally most excited about Nausicaa. The manga is wonderful, and I'm expecting to like the movie too in spite of the fact that from what I understand it only covers roughly half of the story. The English dub principal list sounds very promising, too. |

There's also The Cat Returns and I Can Hear the Sea. It'll probably be years until the former gets released (since it's a spinoff of Whisper of the Heart, whose status is already iffy because of the John Denver song), and the latter film is not part of the Disney/Tokuma deal.
Only Yesterday is the one I'm looking forward to the most. Since it's a pretty subtle movie and the translation on the R3 DVD is pretty crappy, the movie went right over my head. But the bits I understood I loved, so I'd love to see it again in a release that does justice to us English-speaking viewers. I also would love to see Takahata's pre-Ghibli films (such as Gauche the Cellist and Adventures of Hols, Prince of the Sun), but sadly I doubt they'll ever be released over here. |

I already have The Cat Returns. It's obviously not a Disney release so I'll go back and take a look. I believe it's a licensed release but I don't remember which company was responsible for it. You might be able to find it on ebay or whatever. Wait for my news. Oh, and I loved the story too! |

The JP R2 has English subs. It's a fun little film - especially for classical music fans 
Warning - can suffer from combined Takahata/Miyazawa slowness

The Cat Returns. It says Buena Vista Home Entertainment so I guess it's been licensed by them? Then it also says it's distributed by Videovan Entertainment Industries Pte Ltd.
It's region 3, comes on 2 DVDs (one for the movie, the other for the storyboard, "The Birth of The Cat Returns" special and a bunch of trailers). Photos here: 
It's not bootleg, as far as I can tell. My Spirited Away DVDs are also from Videovan/Buena Vista. |

It has been licensed for R3 by Buena Vista Home Entertainment (Taiwan). For those who can't wait for Ghibli's R1 releases, R3 would be a good substitute because most of them have ENGLISH SUB. Yup, that's right, English subtitle for R3 release. Take The Cat Returns as an example: it has three audio channels (Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese) and four subtitles (Japanese, Chinese following Japanese audio, Chinese following Chinese audio ("dubtitle"), English). Only Spirited Away (R1 readily available) and Whisper of the Heart (still waiting...) have no English sub. |
