Wow, I forgot this even existed. Which is pretty amazing considering how excited I was about it three years ago.

I'd forgotten about the lawsuit as well. Been focusing my attention on Appleseed XIII.

Which was cancelled because the company behind it went bankrupt. I suspect that the absurdly complicated and convoluted release plan was partly behind that, as well as the ridiculously high budget each episode must have had. There was just no way the series was going to recover costs.
