A New Trailer Sets the Stage for Baki-Dou's Anime Expo Panel

The BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai Part 2 Trailer and Theme Song Artists Drop Ahead of its June 18 Premiere as the Franchise Enters its Biggest Arena Yet, Anime Expo!

Los Angeles, Calif., June 3, 2026 - TMS Entertainment today released a new trailer for BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai, with all twelve episodes of Part 2 premiering simultaneously on Netflix on Thursday, June 18. Alongside the trailer release, TMS Entertainment also unveiled the opening and ending theme song artists for Part 2 and announced its official Anime Expo 2026 panel, "Bring It On BAKI-DOU! Experience the Showdown with the BAKI-DOU Team."

With the Part 2 premiere just over two weeks away, this trailer sets the tone for the time-transcending battle to crown the strongest. Beginning with footage of Musashi Miyamoto cutting down the fighters he defeated in Part 1, the trailer transitions to a preview of the battles ahead in Part 2, with Miyamoto squaring off against Pickle, Izo Motobe, Kaoru Hanayama, and Baki himself. With the combat escalating beyond anything seen in Baki before, the legendary swordsman prepares to wage war against the entire nation of Japan.

Theme Song Artists Revealed

Also announced today are the artists scoring the opening and ending animations in BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai Part 2. The opening will be set to Chevon's track "MUSASHI." Speaking on the opportunity to score the opening, Chevon's Mayu Yaginu said, "I can't hide the fact that my single favorite arc across the whole series is BAKI-DOU. Musashi Miyamoto vs. Izo Motobe. Grittier and more human than any fight I'd ever seen. It hit me hard — that this is what it looks like when a person's resolve and inner world are made visible. It's still my all-time best bout. No matter how many times I read it, it fires me up. And now, in the Reiwa era, Musashi moves again. And our humble band gets to lay music over the top of it."

The ending track of BAKI-DOU will be set to the song "KATANA" by J-Pop group J SOUL BROTHERS III. Reflecting on the song's creation, group member Ryuji Imaichi shared, "We built this song around 'the katana' as a central theme. We were mindful of the tension of drawing a blade, weaving in the atmosphere of the moment two opponents face off, and even the sound of drawing the katana itself. We hope it's a track that adds even more heat to the world of BAKI-DOU. All of us in the group are looking forward to the release."

Anime Expo Panel — "Bring It On BAKI-DOU! Experience the Showdown with the BAKI-DOU Team" July 3, 8:00 PM PT

Taking place Friday, July 3 at 8:00 PM PT in Room 408AB of the Los Angeles Convention Center, the panel brings together Yūki Yokoi, longtime Baki manga editor at AKITASHOTEN, and Takayoshi Aso, producer of the BAKI-DOU anime at TMS Entertainment, for a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most legendary fighting franchises in manga and anime history. Hosted by MC Andrew Alandy, the panel will also feature a special live showdown and audience activities with YouTuber and internet personality Logan Chitwood (25M+ followers) as Yujiro Hanma and Kaz Kobayashi, an actor and Japanese sword combat performer, as Musashi Miyamoto.
