I was inputting some information for Gauche the Cellist, and there are a couple voice actors that somebody added, but without specifying the voice parts. Since there is no way to edit these, should I just add my information anyways and hope someone in the Encyclopedia staff will notice the redundancy later and delete it, or what?
You're not allowed to enter a staff member without specifying what they did, can we do the same thing with cast members? |

If you take a look at the entry for Gate Keepers, you'll notice there are several dozen unspecified credits for the dub. So I guess the answer would be "yes," you can enter them. In fact, I submitted the plot summary for this series, but someone else submitted another, and they've both been stuck there for a while. I guess you'll just have to hope someone will see the error you saw and fix it for you (since they never fixed mine, but that's OK, I'm sure they're pretty busy.) |

My problem was that I know which characters the unspecified credits go to, and I didn't want to be redundant.

Well, if you want to get them right, then it's up to your own decision making. Go ahead and enter them, I suppose.

But then that would create duplicates, because some voice actors would be credited once with no role and once with the correct role. This is troublesome; no role is supposed to mean "additional misc. voices", not "I don't know". The best would be to add the information and submit error reports for the incorrect entries.
