Don't all the characters have their own voice actor/ess source? If so, whom is attached to Mayu?

it hasn't been reveled yet. neither has a voice sample. (which I'm really excited about for this one!) plus, not all vocaloids have their voice actors publicly listed. Some of the providers don't want their name attached to it for legal and/or show biz reasons. also some of them are under-aged (like Kaai Yuki's voice provider for example) ------------------------ eh. while I love this new character, I still don't know if i'm completely behind giving a vocaloid canon personality traits, since the beauty of vocaloid is having it completely fan-made. (and she's not the first one to have attempted this.) but I guess they just wanna try a different marketing approach from Crypton and the like. which is fine too. Its not like the song producer HAS to follow Exit Tunes' interpretation. |

^5 Love the sound of this character. I can see the fanart now.  Her design is excellent too.
Love Hidari's art, and since she penned one of my favorite murder/mystery mangs, Lying Mii-kun and Broken Maa-chan: Precious Lies, I cannot wait to see if there's more where Mayu came from. (btw, if anyone out there wants to license the aforementioned little psycho gem, I'd be ever so grateful) |

(Though ya may question the seriousness of these companies perspective of Vocaloid as a musical instrument when seems every voice mascot is a teen-bopper.) |

Personally, I don't like the concept. I think, the people behind this was like... "Oh, hey, see, yandere is trending right now, so let's make yandere vocaloid." and such.
And, I'm not really sure about adding personality for vocaloid. Does it really matter? I mean, Miku and the other vocaloid can be soft, they can be childish, they can be tsundere, they can be yandere, they can be whatever the producer wants them to be. Adding personality like this, perhaps it will hamper the producers on making songs and stories. |

The video uses Hidari's illustrations, but Kami Uta is a song on Mayumi Morinaga's upcoming album, and the composer is 164, not DJ UTO (who is the head of EXIT TUNES and was just on stage to talk about the usage guidelines).
