Heroic Age (TV)

Right now only the first two episodes are out. I watched the trailer and it reminded me a lot of Blue Gender, which I thought was really good despite what some others may think.

Has anyone seen these episodes? If so did you think they are good?

I believe the english dubbed dvd for the first 13(of 26) goes for sale may 15th. I plan on waiting until they are all released before watching it, because I dislike waiting for each episode to be released over long periods of time.

Well anyways I just want to hear the opinions of those who have seen it, please no spoilers, I just basically want to know if you thought it was great, good, bad, ugly, etc...

Thanks, from what I can tell from the reviews right now, and the trailer, I think its going to be awesome.

I have seen the entire series, and yes, I think you can safely expect to be satisfied with it when you've seen it all. Not only does it start off well, it gets consistently better as it goes, and the final culmination of the storyline manages to work out more or less all loose threads and provide a very satisfying close to the story.

Furthermore, since I have rewatched it once since I originally saw it, and enjoyed it very much, I can also say that it is worth rewatching, making it obviously shelfworthy.

Good thing I saw this!

Thanks abunai for your comments. I'm feeling a bit better because I ordered this myself via TRSI on Sunday.

So now I'm looking forward to it.

Great, this was just the response I was hoping for. Also my mistake in my first post, it comes out the 12th.

I remember the commentary before the series came out in Japan. It bounced back and forth in between "Hisashi Hirai's at it again! Run for the hills!" and "What do you MEAN they spent the entire budget on the first two episodes?"; combining these two didn't give me a fruitful impression of the series. However, I did end up seeing it anyway and have to say it was a great surprise. The only thing that picked away at me was the character designs, mostly due to seeing Hirai's designs in many series previous. Age, for me, was just a mellowed out Shinn Asuka.
