At Otomate Party 2009 held on July 26th in Japan, Playstation2 otome game "Hakuouki" was announced to get an anime adaptation.

Hakuouki is a historical game featuring Shinsengumi.

No word where the television series has to be premiere along with the cast of the animated series.
