http://www.animenation.net/blog/2009/07/20/more-r1-anime-coming-from-sony/ has this: "Japanator reports that Sony’s anime production subsidiary Aniplex confirmed, during this past weekend’s Otakon convention, that Sony is now working on a North American DVD & Blu-ray release for the Xam’d: Lost Memories anime series. And the long awaited second half of the Blood+ TV series will hit domestic DVD in October, coinciding with the DVD release of the Blood: The Last Vampire live action movie."

Never have gotten into Blood really. More into Xam'd.

In other news, I just downloaded the first 4 dubbed episodes of Shippuden on iTunes. This way, fans can download the first volume worth of episodes before the DVD comes out in September. I did this in place of my admitted habit of watching most of my dubbed/subbed anime on the illegal sites.

I'm loving the news about Blood+, Part 2. Releasing it in conjunction with the live-action Blood: The Last Vampire makes perfect sense.

Do they have more mature voices? What I heard from the trailers I've seen, they sound exactly the same and so I'm curious if they have more grain in their voices.

God it took them long enough, the first part of Blood+ was released over a year ago. I hope they are able to do a better job with Xam'd (I want to watch it). Unfortunately Sony has a poor track record when it comes to series. They had a huge gap in in the middle of Blood+ and they only released one volume of Cyborg 009. Lets hope they decide to do a better job at releasing anime from now on.

Correction, they released the first 2 volumes of Cyborg 009. 009 didn't do swell nor did the most recent Astro Boy TV series. The irony is that they have released all 50 episodes of this Astro Boy in a thin pack while the first half of 009 was released in foreign markets.

Man, I didn't know Blood+ DVDs where this far behind. I remember seeing the end to this show on Adult Swim like... two years ago?

And Part 1 stopped at episosde 26 right? That may be the size of a season, but in the case of Blood+'s storyline, episode 32 is the real turning point.
