Why would anyone even bother publishing a manga like that in the first place? Nobody is going to buy it.

In addition, why is that guy wearing a thong? Or at least something that resembles that. Also, I didn't even know that Media Blasters even licensed manga. |

I don't even need to look past the titles to figure one of the reasons the titles were canceled. The other reasons are probably financial

I could probably name 100 manga off the top of my head more worthy of a license than some gay manga.
And even if someone actually is into that stuff, if its edited why bother? |

Gays Anatomy is probably the best Manga title I've ever heard of. The book practically sells itself.

Yup they do. It's under "kitty media". I've gotten tired of constantly seeing gay's anatomy so hopefully now I'll see less of it. *** As for edits, I don't think Media Blasters edits its mature BL manga. Somehow I'm fairly certain Dog Style was unedited

I going to assume you mean censored by edited because the alternative would be silly, but none of MB's yaoi titles are censored to my knowledge (though I may be forgetting an instance of aging up, too lazy to double check.) And yes, I own all the BL that Media Blasters has published. Two copies of Crimson Spell 1. |

But it's "some gay manga" with the most hilariously bad title ever! I mean, it sounds like one of those parody pornos. Was that original to the Japanese or did some brilliant mind at Media Blasters come up with that?

I agree, one of the best bad titles out there. Looks like a Media Blasters person came up with it; the original title was 焦がれる指先 or Kogareru Yubisaki. Google Translator says it means Pine Finger (lol), and Babelfish says Yearning Fingertips. http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4862632165 |

"Yearning fingertips" would be right, although if Google had given you "pining fingertips" it might have made more sense. It's related to kogasu, "to burn," or kogeru, "to be burned." So it implies passionate longing for someone... ...in other words, it's a totally generic BL title that you'd never pay a second glance. Gay's Anatomy FTW!! |

Agreed. Seriously, what's with BL and their generic titles that can be applied to any other title? It relates, yes, but shouldn't be so interchangeable. Oh, and shame on me for not making the pine - pining connection. I do think that Pine Finger would have generated some interest, though. Not as good as Gay's Anatomy, but still...Pine Finger. |
