I thought I'd try to get a master list going of specific anime titles that have scenes after the end credits, both for my own knowledge and so other readers can help inform each other as well.
I'll start with the ones I can remember now:
-An episode of Gundam 08th MS Team (can't remember which one but I'll specify once I find out)
-Sky Crawlers
-Broken Blade (still watching through but so far, just Episode 2)
-Baccano Episodes 13 and 16
Can't seem to remember any others right now but feel free to add.

I remember Evangelion 2.0 (or at least Eva 2.22. the one I've seen) continues for a bit after the credits.
Can't remember the exact episodes, but Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood did it a couple of times as well.
I love this resource, specially since I'm one of those wackos that often stay for the credit's total length. It feels like a nice reward for waiting so long.

Agreed! I do have some personal paranoia of what I "might have missed", after sometimes being too lazy to check, especially on those more lengthy shows with 26+ episodes. Makes me a bit reluctant to go back and re-watch stuff just to see, which I guess is also another reason why I started this thread.

Wow, I never knew such a thing existed in anime. I only watch the ending credits if I like the ending song. Other than that, I usually just skip it.

Yeah, you'd be surprised at how many there are and their effect(s) on the story. Sometimes, like in the case with Sky Crawlers, it resolves a major plot point, and other times it just serves to tie small loose ends up, or offer a small preview to the next installment.
I discovered my first completely by accident while watching Gundam 08th MS Team, when I let the ED for that particular episode finish and expected the DVD to go on to the next chapter immediately.
Back on to the list, I remember certain Detective Conan TV episodes and all the movies had them.

I first saw The Sky Crawlers at the Melbourne International Film Festival in the beautiful Capitol Theatre designed by Walter and Marion Burley Griffin. The theatre was packed and I reckon at least 75% of people walked out during the end credits. Idiots.

I attest to the fact that, even if no one else mentioned it yet, that this can be annoying when inconsistent from episode to episode. I remember in one of the early episodes of Working!! there was a scene after the credits and not one in the episode before it, and it was a pretty important scene because it was so cute and funny. I just happened to catch it by chance.
So yeah Working!! is another one. Sorry don't recall the actual episode numbers.

Both ef: memories and melodies have scenes after ED on a good number of episodes, all of which are relevant to the main story. I'm not sure if that's unique to the bluray versions however, since they're the only version I have to reference.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Season 2 often had scenes after the credits.

Seriously, there are too many to count. It is very common and I always check ever episode of every anime I watch for those. Some are really important to the story too.

To be more specific, every end of a case (which is usually 2 episodes).
And yep, it's always better to check. If you're too lazy like me, a good way is to check the time left (for TV episodes around 2 mins or more usually means there's something).
As for movies, I always check.
