What a ridiculous price for a backpack. You can get the same backpack for around half that price probably even the exact same style and color, hell even the same manufactor.
Unless the bag had some exclusive markings or something that was in the show, which their were none that I can recall. My backpack is 10 times better and even when it's not on sale is still a better value. This one doesn't even have molle attachment points. |

IIRC, it was in the second OVA. But yeah, kind of a steep price.

Like home videos, otaku pay the price, so manufacturers see no reason to bring it down.

Actually they showed it the most in episode 2 but their is no custom sown in patch or badge, something that makes it so unique that if you want it just like Yukari's pay a rip off price.
You can get a Maxpedition Bag for between $100-150 dollars, that's half the price and is much better quality and it looks dead on the same other than the OD Green color might be a little different. Even my bag is considered the best money can buy and it sales for about just as much as this one and not only is it oozing quality and attention to detail it holds it's resale value. For a 300 dollar backpack it better at least have the build quality to back it up to justify that price. I can understand that they won't sell it for cheap I just fear people buying one and feeling cheated on it's durability/build quality. Other than looks and the dog tags/cell phone cloth you're paying for the marketing. |
