Here's hoping they bother to put someone on the job of translating the track list and liner notes who actually, you know, knows what the hell they're doing.
I won't forget or forgive their release of the .hack video game OST. The track list translations were done by someone who apparently didn't know that they were doing a game soundtrack, because most of the track names don't actually match the game.
The biggest insult of all is actually in the liner notes themselves. "Tail Concerto" is an obscure little title, released in the U.S. of A after getting Hot Potato'd by Activision and other distributors by "Shin Megami Tensei" Atlus themselves...originally developed by CyberConnect 2, our good friends responsible for the whole freakin' .hack franchise (which contains a handful of Tail Concerto in-jokes: some of the NPCs are actually named for the cast of Tail Concerto and Silent Bomber, another great but virtually unknown CC2 gem...that, yes, got released in the U.S.). I can forgive Geneon's translator for not knowing the game was available in English. What I can't forgive is how they didn't actually bother to research the proper freakin' romanization for the game's name. The liner notes, hence, cite a game entitled "Till Concerto", which does not exist.
Dammit. Just when I get all happy that Tokyopop finally fixed that damn "Zawan Shin" mistake in .hack//UdeDen after nearly a whole freakin' year, I remember that Geneon's still got a truckload of .hack//STUPID-ERRORS at large and unfixed. Just...damn. CTRL+ALT+DEL time...

You know, it'd be nice if their site were a little bit easier to navigate. Like, just an alphabetical, text list of all their OSTs would be very helpful. I'd kinda like to know what stuff has already been released and if anything I really want is amongst it.
