Saikano
Genre: Drama/Romance (war)
I started watching last night and i couldn't stop.
It's just different from other Anime of this genre.
I recommend u watch this Anime if u didn't watched it yet dont read below!
----------------------------------------------------------
Only one thing is bothering me, I think the end is kind of sad .
The world world is gone, Only Shuji survived.
And if i got it right even Chise is dead.
But she could live further within him, Just like memories or toughts.
Every one is dead except for him and living in the dark " or in thought's (mind) "
Can anyone tell me if i conclude this right cause i wanna know sure about this one.
If anyone can help me out Thank you...
Greetz

You might want to use spoiler tags for the spoilers instead of a one line through.
The End wasn't was sad as ep 9 though, that was possibly the saddest part in any anime I have ever seen.

Yup, the edit button and spoiler tags are your friends
As far as I understood the ending from the manga
Chise kills everyone on Earth except Shuji to save them a slower and more painful death when the Earth is finally destroyed. By this point she has grown into a giant "spaceship" for want of a better word, and leaves the planet with Shuji inside of her. So it's just the two of them until Shuji, and eventually Chise, die.
And yes, Saikano is reputed to be one of the saddest anime there is, but also one of the more powerful.
