Nothing ticks me off more than over-narration.

Especially when the narrator tries to step into the story itself (I wanted to see you one more time) which this one did. If the narrator was supposed to be the cat, then it should have been referring to itself in first person, not as 'Mii-san'. Clunky narration that obstructs an otherwise nice short video.

It also danced around the probable divorce of mom and dad. Mom not being in the picture that much. No spouse rings a doorbell before entering their own apartment.

Visually beautiful, yet slightly depressing story.

Classic Shinkai.

Still brings tears to my eyes. This would have been a great extra to include on Sentai's Garden Of Words release. Personally, I don't have any issue with the narration, though until I saw the end credits, I originally thought it was an older Aa-chan doing the narrating.

Short and shallow. Again a beautifully rendered, but badly told story, but at least the doorbell gives an aura that a happy ending is possible.
