Ok I purchased several things from the rightstuf sale when there was like 30% off Funimation stuff, anywho I still haven't got my Special edition Speed Grapher box, and yet it's out. Has any one else recieved SE version Speed Grapher? On order status is that in on reserve or something like that.

I know several people have said that they have the regular plain dvd of speed grapher, but anyone with Limited Box? Any help would be very big big thank you in advance.
Till next time,

Delta Kira

I got mine in the mail the day before street date. I had totally forgotten it came with a box and was very impressed with the design. It's a lot like the LE Boogiepop Phantom collector's set, where the box actually has a lid, only this one has a slipcase for the box itself as well.

I haven't watched it yet, so I'm not sure how they did in terms of production. But yeah, I have the box if you have any other questions.

It fits 6 DVDs, which I'm also surprised to see because I thought it was going to be 7. Just means twenty less dollars to spend Anime smile.

I saw the box at my local Best Buy and thought it was awesome. Having had my Lain collection come in the mail today, the slip case for the box caught my eye.

I thought the box was a little big too so I placed DVDs next to it, and it appeared that 7 discs fit, but I´m sure the sides of the box take up that extra space.

Isn´t Speed Grapher 24 episodes? Better hope FUNimation doesn´t pull an ADV on ya.

They better not, Tony said that the box only seems to hold 6 dvds, I would be so pissed if they tried to pull something like that on us.

Trust me, I took Gundam SEED 1-5 and fit all of them in there next to Speed Grapher 1 and had absolutely no space for another DVD.

Wait so in going to be 4 episodes per volumes then? That is pretty good, I don't feel like I being cheated of my money then.

Do you think that if Speed Grapher had Duran Duran for opening that Geneon would of stretch this series to 7 dvds?

If Geneon were to pay the royalties to the record company for that song, it might've even been 8 volumes Anime dazed. Seeing as how the U.S. has a substantial market for anime and how rich Geneon is, I'm sure they could've done it easily.

However, I haven't seen a 24 episode series divided into so many discs from them since X (TV), so who knows these days?

Yikes! 8 volumes oh my dear lord that would be a very bad thing, maybe I wouldn't want that opening song and thinking about it.

Trigun, NGE, the good old days of anime where 8 was the cool thing, making sure that people pay a little more into the series. How funny (as in not funny) would it be if ADV did this with the 10th anniversary NGE, they just repackaged the old dvd with new cases......I could see it happening. "look kids these are ten years old......"
