Hey everyone!
Yesterday I was conducting my weekly anime shopping at my local Best Buy and noticed that they listed the sticker price of Eureka Seven Vol. #2 at $31.99! This is for the regular DVD release - I don't believe that there is a LE or any other special release of E7 Vol.#2. I was wondering if anyone else notice this, or was it just my screwy Best Buy that made this error. Thanks. |

More than likely, it was just an error.
Not long ago, I saw the Grave of the Fireflies DVD for sale at best Buy for $56... then the next day they were gone... I whent back like a week later and they were back for something around $15. In other words, mistakes happen and Best Buy does many mistakes. Have you ever seen the price stickers where you can't tell what the price is because they were printed wrong? |

Checking the other forum that I regulary post, it seems that this pricing error is happening at all the Best Buys across America. Some people had run-ins with BB employees about the pricing errors for Eureka Seven Vol. #2. However, I was informed that Best Buy's website has the DVD listed at their regular price of $19.99. I guess the best option for me is to simply purchase Eureka Seven Vol. #2 online (not from Best Buy's website, of course!
I'm kind of curious as to why BB made this error in the first place. I know that they are pricing the Galaxy Angel Complete Collection at $31.99, and both that and E7 Vol. #2 came out at the same time (June 27). They're both distributed by Bandai so my guess is that when BB was pricing GA, they might have erronously priced E7 with GA's price tag and didn't catch it yet. |

Yes, I noticed that price when I was there the other day, but if you go to their site the price is listed as only $19.99 so it's obviously a screw-up in their system somewhere.

WTF?! You are one lucky person, you! I have the same problem as well. I called some Best Buy stores and they have no idea what is wrong. They suggested that I buy the DVD online at $19.99 and go pick it up in the store. This is so messed up for all of us who want to buy the second volume of Eureka Seven. I go to college and have a coupon book that lets me have $2 off any number CDs, video games, DVDs, and computer software. Plus I can use it as many times as I want! Best Buy is basically where I go to buy all my anime unless they do not have it. I need my discount! I did some research and went to Bandai's official website. They do a pretty good job of updating everytime they release something. Check out Eureka Seven Volume 2 DVD's release information here: http://www.bandai-ent.com/products/product_details.cfm?id=590 Please note that Bandai's MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) is $24.98. Compare that to Best Buy's screwed up pricing/error: $31.99. Who sells something over the MSRP?! Honestly, throw me a friggin' bone here! When Best Buy had correct pricing, usually most of their DVDs, with the exception of Geneon's, are $19.99. Geneon's Best Buy standard pricing is $24.99. I hope that they fix this problem soon. I have been waiting for the second volume for a long time now. It is a great watch and I need more now! Thanks for listening to my rant, everyone! |

I noticed Eureka dvd 2 was the same price at our local Best Buy too. I ordered it from Deep Discount Dvd for 15 dollars after that. I noticed once a series nears its end at Best Buy, the price gets jacked up! They must know you will finish some series at any price

I just got back from my local Best Buy and noticed that they changed the retail price of Eureka Seven Vol. #2 to $16.99. So at least in one of the Cleveland-area Best Buys the pricing problem has been resolved.
