We won't be posting lists because that's not allowed here, but to answer your question you kind of answered it yourself. Sales.
If a show flops a company's not gonna take a hit for the fans and keep with it, especially if it's a longer series. I have no idea how some companies pick what to license. It seriously boggles my mind sometimes. But every single one of them is likely carefully considering it's cost vs how much it sells. A wise young girl once said "Capitalism, HO!" but this is one of the flaws of such a system- Big companies don't suck up losses for the fans because they wouldn't be big if they did, and small companies don't suck up losses for the fans because it'd be the last thing they ever did. |
