The game is slated for Japanese arcades this spring.

Does this mean that the game won't be released on a consoles (vita, ps3/4 etc)?

It'll probably be ported to consoles later this year. Much like how Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign- and Persona 4 Ultimate will get the same treatment.

As for the console platform, PS3 and maybe PS4

Aha, I see. I hope it comes out on PS4 (planning on buying that console sometime in the future) or Vita (just bought one, hehe).

I don't see a 2D fighter coming out on PS4, especially since the type of audience this is aimed at won't be the type that gets a new system right away (otaku stuff always end up on Sony systems a couple years after the new system comes out). PS3/Vita sounds probable to me.

It's more likely a PS3 Port. I remember reading somewhere that the Developers were interested in bringing it over to Consoles.

Its not being ported to other platforms. Due to it being a SEGA IP. It will receive its own Arcade perfect platform port.

Guity Gear is an Arc Systems IP.

"Dengeki Bunko FIGHTING CLIMAX is scheduled for an arcade release in spring of 2014, with a home console release following sometime after. "

Yes, I know Guilty Gear is an Arc Systems IP, I was just referencing to the fact that a couple Arcade Games due get ported to the Consoles, like with Gundam Extreme Vs, Aquapazza, Persona 4A/U, etc. A PS3/4 Console Port of Fighting Climax isn't as farfetched as it sounds.
