Aw man, making me choose between Medusa and Ragyo for the new poll is nearly impossible...but in the end, I give it to Medusa. Both are horrible, abusive monsters, evil and twisted to the core, but there's a clear difference between the two.
Despite all of Ragyo's atrocities, Satsuki spoiler[and Ryuko] had a happy ending. Medusa has such control over Crona and utterly destroyed his/her psyche so thoroughly, Crona unfortunately did not get that privilege, in the anime or manga. |

I do not pay much attention to princes so I will not comment on this list.
In the new poll I had to vote for Medusa because she is literally a witch. And even if she was not she would still be a contender. But it is difficult to choose between her and Precia Testarossa. They both use their daughter** only as tools to achieve their own goals. I am not familiar with most of the others. **EDIT: Actually, Crono is Medusa's son. I keep forgetting that he is a boy. |

Whoo! Personally I think Rumati should have been number one. He is smokin!

If you mean a veneer of elegance with evil lurking beneath, yes. I think Lelouch should have been on there, really. *pats Ling on the head since really, Sinbad only has him beat by a smidge for elegance* Also, "prince" is defined loosely here, isn't it? Three of them are kings... I'm tempted to make my own list... "elegant anime princes" is like... my favorite topic. ![]() |

Sinbad beat out Tuxedo Mask? Dang. I admit Sinbad is a bit more hands own with royal matters, but the King of the Earth surely has tenure. XD
For the poll, definitely Medusa. That woman doesn't know squat about being a mother. Absolutely nothing. |

Are you sure that Prince Endymion didn't lose points for not having the requisite long flowing hair?

I'm going to use spoiler tags here as there may well be people who are not up to date on Magi yet (you should watch if you haven't - it's a fun show).
Ren Gyokuen spoiler[is a Magi, so she fulfills both meanings of the word "witch" here]. She spoiler[orchestrated the deaths of her husband and most of her own children] and would happilly spoiler[kill and/or use the remaining two children if it served her desires]. She is spoiler[the leader of an organisation whose goal is literally to wipe every living thing off the face of the planet], having already succeeded spoiler[in a previous world, with only a few people escaping to this one]. |

I should have gone with Medusa just because she's *literally* a Witch, but for me the choice was between Gyokuen and Ragyo. Gyokuen is more repulsive than Ragyo (and she is also a literal sorceress), but I went with Ragyo because she's more entertaining and I love her design.

I enjoy that the top two have pretty much the same character design, albeit with different hair colour. Not the only design similarity between Fushigi Yuugi and Saiunkoku and I can't image it's all coincedental.

Fun topic this time :D The list made me want to immediately start reading The Heroic Legend of Arslan! But then I remembered, yeah, different artist for the manga. Well... I'm still curious. (and I like her art too, even if it isn't known for elegant princes.) |

Kinda knew that Hotohori would make the list, even if he's an emperor and not a prince.
As for the evil Mom list, I guess Shashi from RG Veda didn't get on there because she's more of a manga character. Even though what little we see of her in the OVA is already pretty bad. |

What about Prince from Space Dandy? It's questionable whether he's actual royalty, but he fits most of the other criteria. He should have been an honorable mention at least.

This movie offers a pleasant but nonessential side quest for anyone who misses spending time with the Hunter x Hunter gang. Nick Creamer has the details.
