11/11 is Happy Pocky Day.
11/11 is also Singles Day in China (1 = single). It's a commercial promo that only started a few years ago. But y'know how big it's gotten? Alibaba (China's Amazon) would have $7.8 Billion sales this day. All of Black Friday and Cyber Monday in the US would have $3.8 Billion sales. That is the power of billions of singles people!

Never heard of pocky day and dear lord that's a lot of single folks in China, I don't blame them for binge shopping though, being single in Eastern Asia is tough unlike here in the states or in Europe where it's easy if not a total cakewalk for most. |
