I really hope they do cleanup work on it and not just adjust the color and resolution or it will be another half-assed remaster like Dragon Ball Z Kai. Remove the dust, hairs, blemishes and stabilize the footage.

FTR: I love DBZ Kai, but the remastering work on it was rubbish.

I would import the BD box if it has the dub. I am assuming that since Khara is involved, it should be easy for Funimation to release it.

Whaaaaaaaaaat? I thought this was considered one of the best English dubs ever made.

God, finally! I hope we can expect a proper English release for this so Evangelion will finally be available for a decent price.

I hope it gets an English release. The series is so expensive to own now, and it's hard to find since it has been out of print for so long.

Also if memory serves Evangelion is considered to be one of the best English dubs, along with Cowboy Bebop but that might be because it was one of the best dubs of the 90's... I found it to be quite good myself.

Laying the groundwork for hyping Evangelion 4 (or 3.0+1.0)?

Ah, but will it have the version of the movie that was initially released on home video as two separate episodes spread across two separate volumes, each with their own set of credits? You almost pulled it off, Khara, almost!

Pretty neat that it's going to include almost every version of the show and original movies, even though I'm sure anyone who watches all of them will only do that once, and then stick with their favorite version. Also surprised Khara announced this instead of Gainax.

They're probably just going to use the remastered footage from the Renewal/Platinum release, so you can use that as reference.

Not going to happen no matter how much you don't like it.

Was never into Eva. I got into it around 2 or 3 years ago thanks to the rebuild films. I really like films so I gave the TV show a chance and I didn't like the English dub, in particular the "Human Instrumentality Committee"and no name Nerv staff characters.
Maybe terrible was an overstatement...but yeah, I don't care for it.

It's funny cause all I hear is people saying how terrible the English dub is.

Also Spencer, Allison, and Tiffany are much better now so going back is pretty glaring.

Anything is possible.

Hell yeah! About damn time. Slap some English subtitles on that, and my money's all yours.

Yep. I don't even care how much this costs. If it comes with subs I am willing to pay almost any amount.

I was under the impression that this would never happen because of rights issues and because Anno didn't want it conflicting/overlapping with the Rebuild releases.

I wonder if this means that they are actually making progress on that last Rebuild film. It would be nice to get an update on that.
