According to Ken Iyadomi, Gundam Wing was among the anime that sold the most for Bandai Entertainment. However, according to Wikipedia, Escaflowne outsold Gundam Wing on tape. But you have to remember from 1999-2001, Gundam Wing was everywhere in the US. It outperformed DBZ in ratings and one could not get enough of the toys/shitty model kits. But apparently, Bebop is the top Bandai product in the US, even though it took 6 years to sell 1 million tapes, it's too violent to be aired on mainstream CN, so it can only garner 1 million views at best and before 2001, it wasn't that popular. Before Gundam Wing was aired on Toonami in 1999, it started to become huge with the VHS and DVD releases and the huge amount of revenue the toys made. Also, Bebop's movie only made $1 million in the US.

In Japan, they're about the same level of popularity.
