Kind of weird to see the New style of the Super Mario logo when it's not tied to the New Super Mario Bros. games at all. Usually, when the franchise attaches itself to another franchise, I see the colorful angular letters being used.

I guess the upside of this is we're pretty much guaranteed to see a release of this outside of Japan. The original Puzzles and Dragons for 3DS was announced for localization a long time ago but nothing happened. I figure the original localization is pretty much vaporware at this point.

Personally, I'm more of a Monster Strike fan myself. Hopefully, it'll be able to get big enough to see such prestigious tie-ins as well.

If this game makes it to the U.S., I might consider buying it sometime. It's been ages since I had puzzle battles in Pokémon Puzzle League.
