Onizuka got his well-deserved first place. As if there would be any doubts about it Smile

As for te my most awaited spring series - Arslan Senki. Yes, I have a problem with Arakawa's designs and studio is a little suspicious, but Arslan is a great fantasy, so I'm excited for it.

The list of anime teachers seems fine, though I think a bunch of them would be very poor teachers if they had students who actually wanted to learn the curriculum. I'm not really sure who I would put on the list instead though. For whatever reason, the poll also made me think of the teacher from The Day the Earth Moved, who is basically just presented as the ideal self-sacrificing adult to show kids how they should act . . . yet I still found his character very memorable (obviously that anime is too obscure to appear on a list like this).

For the new poll this week, I voted for Nanoha ViVid, but there are a lot of anime I'm looking forward to from the next season.

About last week's poll, sorry for complaining (I know some random poster took offense to my complaint, but I'm not sure if Lynzee or any of the staff took offense as well). I do still think 1st and 2nd edition AD&D should have been separate entries since they are two of the main editions, and AD&D probably ended up first because they are combined (or maybe because a bunch of the great D&D video games like Baldur's Gate and Planescape Torment used 2nd edition AD&D rules . . . I don't know if those got a lot of people into playing D&D or not).

Yeah, Yukari Tanizaki was a great teacher, she even managed to get students like Osaka and Tomo into college {honestly, this puts her over Onizuka. What did he do with a student with learning disabilities? Why, he made her into a gravure model, of course! That'll teach you, Learning!}, inspire Kagura to be more than just a sports star and kept Chiho {relatively} safe... somehow.... so why Nyamo over her?

7 Sawako from K-On. Pfft, music teachers, who need them? Musicians for starters... Doesn't really explain why she was so popular with the rest of the school though. Oh right, she cared. Also, she got Yui into college so there's that.

Most expected new show? I have to be honest and say, or rather "copy and paste", Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. Zoku or Love SNAFU Zoku. I've seen the first season far too many times to make sense.

But..Denpa Kyoshi doesn't even have an anime yet...
Almost felt like shameless advertising. Laughing

I would have made this week the top 7 teachers, and added Negi Springfield.

Onizuka was always going to be #1, but why 6 instead of 7? How could you forget Negi Springfield?

If I were making this list, I wouldn't have a problem with the top three in the same order. But I think I would include Hitomi-sensei (NO HOKENSHITSU)... and maybe Rebecca Miyamoto (Becky) from Pani Poni.

As for the most anticipated Spring anime, I was torn between three:

Baby Steps S2

High School D x D BorN

Knights of Sidonia

with The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan running a close fourth...so I just picked the one that I would keep if I had to sacrifice all the others.

I don't know if I could call him the greatest teacher, but And Yet the Town Still Moves Natsuhiko Moriaki is definitely one of the more endearing teachers. Despite his frustrations, he never gives up on Hotori and genuinely cares about doing the right thing for his students.
