I'm almost missing the old trend where all the Light Novel based ecchi harem shows were just about really boring antics mixed with poorly written drama as opposed to now where it's pretty much exact same thing but with magic and even more gratuitous fanservice.
Although by the look of it, this is the only show of its kind airing next season so maybe that's a sign that these shows are starting to fall out of popularity. |

Better main girl, worse side girls. Mind you, it's hard to be better than Charl and Laura, but wow does Philphie take points for boringness. At least the others are pretty good. |

It will be more. Not only is it Ando (famous for making shows with fan service that have genuinely enjoyable and fucked up writing) but its also Lerche who for the past few years have been working on creating a more than meets the eye image. Assassination Classroom is going to get incredible vicious, School-Live is.... School Live, Rampo Kitan which many didn't watch because of the trap poster that ended up being a really decent psychological series, and more. There is a really dark element to the series, and I hope Ando exploits that alot, which i think they well, since they haven't shown pretty much anything. |

That would be Houki. First girl, childhood friend, interminably aggravating tsundere, same country alignment as the MC, gains development that ruins MC's chances with a better girl... No girl wins, but Houki is main girl. |
