I'll be honest, I searched the game after the show, was disappointed. It, much like the the first episode, seems unnecessarily dense with useless material.

Eh, Divine Gate is simply a bad show, gave it a 1.5 stars. The reasons have already been mentioned several times in the preview guide so I won't bother repeating them. But since I picked it up I'l be giving it the usual three episode rule unless it sinks into truly terrible levels. They'll form the basis of the score I will be giving for the rest of the episodes that I won't be watching.

Hmmm;
Divine gate, or Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri.... (weighs options) ....Theres only room for one gate this season, and im glad I chose the right one. "Chose" as in watched the fist half of Gate, saw the synopsis for Divine gate and saying "F**k DAT" and ultimately staying as far away from anything to do with Divine gate apart from this article which I only read to stroke my ego. |

Lol is this show that BAD?? I watched the first ep and it was kind of dark, not bad either..I liked the OST too..

Honestly, i am always watching such kind of shonen anime each season, but divine gate is so disgusting i don't know if i ever will continue it. Will see after few next episodes.

Were they searching for as to why it was so damn terrible? Dear lord that first ep would make K-Dramas blush with all the over dramatic scenes.

Maybe people are seeing it as the "Sharknado" or "The Room" of anime, it's so awful it's hilarious, I love quoting the first episode for every mundane thing, "Oh we need to buy sugar, BUT THERE'LL NEVER BE ENOUGH SUGAR TO FILL THE HOLES IN MY HEART!" *cue angsty stare into the sky*

Don't strong DVD sales often point to a strong fujioshi interest? With most series, Blu-ray sales of anime sales in Japan easily outperform DVD sales, but I recall that being cited as one exception. |
