Actually, Empoleon's Japanese name is spelled "Emperte."
I wonder how Empoleon will fare in the battlefield with its bladed wings...

Finally. We've known for months that Empoleon is going to be in this game. Now it's finally confirmed. I'm still waiting for the other 16 starters.

The spelling might be "Empert", the pronunciation is still "Enperuto".

Yes, but according to Bulbapedia, "Emperte" is the official spelling.

There was never going to be any given that Empoleon and some of the other characers were in consideration long before Sun & Moon was ever announced.
