Even though this isn’t the news I was hoping for, there’s still a chance for a season 2/movie since they said “various” projects.

I hope it is. This series has untapped potential. This upcoming mobage better be a sign that S2 is coming in the future.

So we'll get another KanColle clone waifu game, which will be a JP exclusive for a year, and then translated half-assedly after a year, with a year worth of content behind the JP version? Weeeee...

Makes sense. It had a good cast and setting to this sort of thing, and with other similar anime making mobages there is no reason not to jump on the ship.
