As far as casting goes, pretty spot on. Just as good as the movie, if not even better. (like in Jiji's case) Only ones I'm a bit iffy about are Kinya Kitaōji and Asuka Kudō, but that's more based on looking the part than anything. As long as their acting delivers, I can't complain.
I think the performance I'm most looking forward to is Koji Seto as Kuranosuke. Masaki Suda got the look down beautifully but I didn't like the voice he used for Kuranosuke that much. Hoping Koji will end up being a better fit.
