These episodes come out with so much times passing I forget the entire plot each time one finally hits.

I've always enjoyed this franchise, in large part because it's got one of the prettiest sets of female character designs you'll see anywhere. Just wish all of these OVAs would get collected together and released Stateside, whether in physical or streaming form.

10 episodes for an OVA. They could have made this a TV anime.

This way they can do it uncensored and pace themselves across the year 2 episodes at a time. Also the sales will be higher because no one will have seen it on TV. Worked decently with series 2.

Those things used to be much more common. These days, is there any other anime that gets released as longer OAV series?

Thanks.
It's kind of impressive that few shows managed to make this model work again.

The season will cover up to volume 17 of Gakuto Mikumo's original light novel series, as well as the end of the "Holy War" (Seisen) arc.

Just as a tip, check the original StB official tweet. It's not Holy War (聖戦/Seisen). It's Holy Extermination (聖殲/Seisen). Translated by Yen Press novels as "Cleansing".

Disc sales for the OVA's have indeed been better than those of the tv series. If the OVA model keeps working well, I doubt we will see StB on regular tv again.

Cool, this franchise somehow never fails to be entertaining and I like the characters. Wish somebody would hurry up and release the OVAs here on disc through.

Nice to see confirmation. It'll be a bit of a wait, but I'm looking forward to it =D

I really hope so. Hopefully Discotek/Eastern Star can get it. I thought they did a good job on their release and would love to add it to my shelf with the original release Smile

I wouldn't mind another TV series if it meant it would be easier to come over here, but if OVAs are the only way, then that's good enough. In the end all that matters is that we'll get more of the story animated.
