It´s so nice to see traditional shooters appearing on these lists. A drastic change from only a decade ago. Globalism reached the Japanese gaming scene at last.

I wouldn't go THAT far. Most western games still do pretty mediocre in Japan. Call of Duty just so happens to be the series military/gun otaku like in Japan, so it fills that niche pretty nicely. It's still got a ways to go to match Splatoon's 2 million though

@Gator Gamer Splatoon 2 in itself proves my claim. It´s many things but mostly a twin sticks shooter. Japanese game design was still wresting with that late 90s industry standard control scheme only a decade ago. Thank Zodd they finally saw the light.
