Why are they doing weekly releases for a show that came out (and was fully translated) fifteen years ago?

This show falls into that coterie of early 2000s sci-fi anime that were neither runaway successes nor fully consigned to oblivion. Given that the early digipaint era lacks a style that holds its own against today's standards, any resurgence of its less prominent examples is quite a victory.
