Don't even try to place the chronological position of the Nanatsu no Taizai film as soon after the first season.
Hawk's transformation abilities and the presence of Escanor with the team clearly indicate that it must be sometime after the beginning of The Ten Commandments arc. However, the Ten Commandments are mentioned but nothing to indicate that they have ever fought them, while power levels of certain characters seem off compared to where they were in the last season. Overall, while I would say you could watch the movie before the last season without being majorly spoiled, there are certain things about Meliodas and his relationship with the Ten Commandments, Hawk and Escanor that are treated in the movie casually, but are not revealed in the anime until last season. |

It's a good thing we get news updates here about anime showing up on Netflix. I saw some stuff elsewhere online for Seven Deadly Sins, and had no idea what it was.

Thanks, but I'll pass. I liked the movie up until that unnecessary moment where Ash had that hallucination before dying. And Pikachu speaking... I was so mad when they did that.
