Whoa, I actually didn't think it would start serialization rather soon after the promo video. And it's really cool that they timed it with the changing of the eras. Samurai 8 probably won't replace Naruto in my heart, but I still can't wait to see what will happen with this series.

Since Kishimoto will have all the time in the world to write the manga, I am very much looking forward to it. At his best, Kishi is a pretty good writer who has some nice ideas. It’ll be nice to see him embark on a project where he doesn’t have to overwork himself every week.
