I'd rather see PA Works do a better Rewrite anime like how KyoAni did to Kanon when Toei botched it

Charlotte, was definitely more flawed then Angel Beats. One of the biggest issues I took with Charlotte was the ending, where they literally crammed an entire 2nd season into 2 episodes.
One of Keys biggest tools is getting you to care about the character before kicking you in the feels...Clannad is a great example of this. Charlotte on the other hand never allowed any development of this sort with its 2 main characters... Yu was pretty much unlikable from the first episode. This never changed as the series progressed with his only real redeeming value being his need to care for his sister. On the flip side you then have Nao, which was another character that while not as unlikable as Yu was still very distant. And while her character matured, her change in personality especially how to related to Yu was very weird. She literally goes from no interest to romance in 1 or 2 episodes and this felt very strange.
Back to the feels part, I felt more for the side characters like Yusa/Misa, Ayu and the like then I ever did for any of the main characters.
Combine that with a super rushed last episode and.. meh
