Cells at Work was a show that really surprised me. I went into it expecting it to just be a silly goofy educational comedy anime, which it was of course, but I didn't expect it to get as emotionally intense as it did in the later episodes . It was one of the best shows of summer 2018 so I'm glad to see it getting a second season. Give us more of the Platelets!

I was surprised this show seemed to fly under the radar for a lot of people. Maybe it was more popular in Japan than in the West? If so, thank you Japanese fans.

I doubt anyone reading this is unaware of the YouTube commentaries on the show by a young British physician, but if so, I strongly recommend them. Here's the first one: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pnvgQCavmkM

Cells at Work was probably the most popular show of the summer 2018 season. At least I remember all the anime podcasts and YouTubers going wild over it.

I've actually been watching those eps he does, I enjoy every one of them! And it's amazing since he's really showing how spot on things are.

I'm glad there's a second season, I've enjoyed the first and hope it comes to DVD or Blu Ray soon, it was interesting. Although I'm feeling the cold episode now as we speak lol.

I frequent the recommendations thread at MAL. I'm the only regular there who ever mentions Cells at Work.
