I just finished the 3 short episodes of Angel Sanctuary and man did I fall in love with it. I love the concept of forbidden love and incest
Does anyone knows if there is a continuation of the anime series or one in development because they gave a preview of episode 4 and they left the story hanging after episode 3. spoiler[The main dude(already forgot his name after 5 mins I also want to know if the manga is any good because if there isn't a continuation of the anime then ill read the manga. I just have to know what happens between the dude and Sarah Ahhh... How do you do spoiler tags? I cant figure it out. Last edited by goodwin999 on Sun Jan 14, 2007 10:23 am; edited 2 times in total |

You could just use the spoiler button that is just above the area where you type these posts or you type them like this [spoiler] [spoiler] except with a back slash in the ending spoiler just in front of the word spoiler (if you highlight the section you want with spoiler tags and then push the button it will also show you this).

It was an OAV. It was supposed to be an itroduction to the manga. It roughly covers the first arc.

I would recomend reading the manga, it is a good story. It has interesting characters and some cool unexpected plot twists. I especially like how it handels evil andthe servants of hell. But I should also warn you that it contains some things that could be offensive both in regards to religion and family relations.

Just like kykling said: Read the manga!
There will probably never be a continuation of the OVA. It would make little sense to continue the story based on these three episodes, in any case, because they already left out vital scenes, plot points and entire very important characters in the anime. I hated the anime, but I also read the manga first. If you enjoyed the anime, you'll probably adore the manga. It's that much better, richer and longer. Like I wrote above, only the first three and a half volumes of the manga were (badly) adapted into anime form. There are twenty volumes of the manga all in all, so there is a lot more to this story. If you pick up the manga, do start at the first volume. As I said, many things were left out in the anime, so you wouldn't be able to follow what's going on and who is who, unless you read the manga from the start. It's not really that the manga continues the anime's story. The manga came before the anime, after all, and the anime did not stay close enough to the manga in order to make the two interchangeable, even for the small part of the story that the anime did cover. But, really, don't waste your time waiting for more anime. Read the manga. It's definitely better than this anime... |

Angel Sanctuary. His name is Setsuna. All I can say about this series is that it is, "interesting". With the so called taboo relationship between the brother and sister, as well as it's violent approach to the story which out the stereotype, if any, that shojo mangas are about girls just falling in love and dealing with relationships. I'm glad I read the manga first, so as not to be disappointed by the OVA. I'd say that the anime version was just a promo for the manga. You can only read the manga, because if they haven't tried to continue the series by now, they probably never will.

I watched the anime first and I really loved it. The whole style and story interested me and I had to find out what happened next.
I'm waiting for volume 18 of the manga to be released now and I have to recommend it. If you enjoyed the OVA then the manga will blow you away. The OVA was just an advert for the manga which is a real shame as I think if they adapted the whole series into an anime it would be the greatest anime of all time, but I'm biased because I think the story is so amazingly good. Buy the manga! |

Yeah I actually wondered the same after watching the animes. I guess it was suppost to be like an intro to prepare you for the mangas. I read a few of the mangas and in my opinion they really aren't as good as the anime. If you don't care for the whole angel and demon thing you probably won't like the manga because there is like no romance between the bro and sis. The story is far to complex too and difficult to follow at parts. I have only met one person who read past book 3.
