I appreciate the sentiment, but this was cringe inducing.

Pretty neat project. They're also raising money by selling a vinyl of this.

That was pretty awesome. And I personally loved the rap section. So happy to add my support. Also, today is a great day to pick this up too as today Bandcamp is waiving their revenue share on purchases. So this means that all the purchase funds today go straight to charity.

I started skipping it even before the rap kicked in. Yeah this was not very good. Too americanised for my liking. And I'm a huge Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts fan.

Too Americanized? This is Cowboy Bebop. You couldn't get more American if it were called Hamburger Baconfat. Most of the original piece was still in Japanese and intact, anyway.

No I dont think you quite understand. I'm talking about the song, the music, not the anime its attributed with.

At this point I think I've seen Cowboy Bebop like 3 times? Yet I've heard these albums like thousands of times by now. This track is bastardising the original version. And I quite enjoy listening to remixes and different takes on songs in general. This one wasn't doing it for me. Rolling Eyes

$25 USD plus postage for a 7" EP? Not even a 12" single? I'm down with the cause and all that, but that's just ridiculous. Sticking with the download.

With all due respect, you do realize that the blues and jazz are quintessentially American forms of music, right? I mean the blues and the genres that evolved from them are arguably the United States' single-most important contribution to world culture. The vast majority of Cowboy Bebop's soundtrack is "Americanized" by its very essence.

I mean I'm not saying you shouldn't be allowed to dislike this particular remix. That's perfectly fine. But that reason doesn't really make any sense.

I always liked Real Folk Blues a lot, even more than Tank! I think this is great!
