In my opinion, Doraemon would have been a much better fit at Disney rather than Universal. I say this because Fujiko F. Fujio's utopian vision of the future was much like that of Walt Disney. Heck, The vision of the year 2112 seen in the franchise feels like Tomorrowland.

I feel like the reason why it's not at Tokyo Disneyland instead is because attractions based on non-Disney properties rarely (if ever) happen.

True. I think the only way Disney would ever do a Doraemon attraction is if they acquired Fujiko Pro. And as much as I wish that were a reality, we all know that will never happen.
