Biohazard Umbrella Chronicles - Prelude to the Fall (missing on this site) and the 2 manga by Naoki Serizawa are canon btw. Not that Serizawa´s works were good.

This would be the first canon US comic but it might simply be an adaptation. The very first RE comic work was a Marvel one-shot from 1996 btw:

TP as we knew them no longer exists. That happened when they temporarily closed-up shop here.

Even after they closed up some of their stuff has still been... questionable.
