Nice! I've been enjoying the Japanese version some, not sure I'm ready to start over. Having this available in English will be nice.

How does the mobile game work? Given you could usually turn generics into the most powerful things in the game via grinding in normal disgaea entries. Im curious how they milk players for money.

Like most mobile games, it's a gacha system.

'Awaken' passive skills by 'feeding' spares of the same kind the monster.
Fuse 5 of the same rank to gain a higher rank.
They do events a lot too, so there are event specific gacha monsters to get, and get multiples off as well.
And like most gacha games, the rates are meh. So collecting 'all' the characters is quite difficult if one doesn't have the money. Fully powering them even more difficult.

There are other things you can get with cash. Daily Dungeon keys, stamina refills. Basically stuff to help you level your characters at a faster rate than someone who can't spend money.

I've done alright with the free gems they hand out. The Japanese version hands them out like candy. I can't say how it'll be with the English version.

There's a lot to do in the game too. Mobile Story, Play through a Mobile version of the main game series, item world, the daily dungeons for exp, hil, and reincarnation items, and more. I think they've added more stuff the last time I played, but I just concentrated on the event going on at the time and didn't explore the new stuff.

I didn't realize there was a link to the game's english site, but wow...... that translation is really something. I'm really worried for the release now, but hopefully stuff like this will be sorted by the beta.
