Small mistake: in this line you refer to Young Jump being a Kodansha mag, though the rest of the article correctly refers to it as a Shueisha mag.

That second synopsis had me until the last sentence. Already too much plot convenience for me to take a chance on it.

Apparently it's been selling really well. Like, better than QuintQuint was at the equivalent point, and that ended up being the most popular shonen romance of the 2010s.
