It's a shame the light novels never got an English release. It being 18 volumes now doesn't help its chances though.

Not many. If I were to give an off-hand estimate, I'd say likely fewer than 1 out of 10...
Never lose hope. The series has fervent supporters, and its thread on j-novel gets new posts every once in a while... |

Because in the year it came out, battle harems were already being displaced by isekai. A year before, Konosuba had opened the floodgates. I really hope the next fad comes soon. |
